The college football world is buzzing around these Michigan State Spartans. After 2 impressive victories vs Northwestern and Youngstown State, the Spartans football team traveled to the heat of Florida to play the University of Miami. As Miami was ranked 24th in the national AP poll going into the game, that wasn't the case after.

Spartans had an impressive victory on Saturday vs Miami, 38-17. This is the first time since 2015, that MSU has won its first 3 games. With that being said, the recent nation AP poll now have the spartans ranked for the first time this season. 20th best football team in the country. In terms of our competition around the Big Ten, Ohio State is 10th, Penn State is sitting at 6th, Iowa at 5, and that other Michigan school from Ann Arbor is at 19th.

With Michigan State's upcoming schedule, it looks pretty convincing that if they keep playing like this, a 7-0 record going into the rivalry game vs Michigan would not be farfetched. A large part of Michigan states success, is their QB Payton Throne. He became the first QB since 2015, to throw for 4 touchdowns in back to back games since Connor Cook. Hopefully the Spartans continue their success! Go Green!
